A member of a royal Anthetion family, either male or female, that governs and maintains a region of their choice.
The basic concept is similar to that of a King combined with a governor of a state.
They maintain the roads and Temples of the region, and any other basic services to local residents of that region or travelers through it.
The money put into this is usually from their own pocket or from that of their family.
If they need more than what they can afford, they can request additional funds from the Center city, or Capital. Assuming their request is granted, they may use that money in any reasonable way to benefit their region in a long term plan that neighboring Hallour and residents agree upon.
Any royal seeking to become a Hallour may gain a region in any number of ways:[]
- Request a location that is uninhabited and not deemed untouchable land.
- Become a pupil to another Hallour, relative or not, under a set contract of an agreed upon number of decades in which to learn the full responsibility of the rank and position.
- Seek another Hallour and request in advance to be put on a possible list of candidates to possibly inherit their region upon their death or retirement.
- Request placement in a register awaiting assaignment to whatever region becomes available for whatever reason.
- Becoming a Jonthallour (Joint Hallour), by way of marriage to a pre-existing Hallour and gaining 50% responsibility of the region by either a spoken and later written contract of acceptance.
